Rosanna's big old trees and established gardens are why people love it. They're also why the green bin is full by Tuesday, and Ross can clear the overflow.
Not a franchisee or a truck driver from a booking system. The bloke who quotes it is the bloke who loads it.
He does the lifting
No bags to fill, no skip to load. Leave it in a pile and he loads it, sweeps up and takes it away.
Priced off your pile
Not a bin size. A heap beside the driveway and one at the bottom of a steep yard are different jobs and get different prices.
A straight no when it’s a no
Standing tree, asbestos, or more rubbish than garden — he tells you before he starts, not after.
What Ross does
Green waste removal services in Rosanna
A pruning pile hauled away and a few bags of leaf litter collected is the usual combination on a Rosanna block.
Green Waste Removal Rosanna
Piles of prunings, branches, hedge trimmings, leaves and weeds that won't fit in the green bin. Ross backs the trailer in, loads it himself and takes it away to be recycled — you don't lift a thing.
Leaves and prunings from mature gardens.
Garden & Yard Clean-Ups Rosanna
Doing a big garden clean-up — overgrown beds, a back corner nobody has touched in years, a rental between tenants or a property being tidied for sale? Pile it all up and Ross collects the lot in one visit.
Long-held gardens cleared of built-up waste.
Fire Season Clean-Ups Rosanna
Fallen limbs, shed bark, leaf litter and dry prunings gathered up from around the house — the fine fuel that matters most in a grassfire or ember attack. Collected and taken away before the Fire Danger Period starts.
Gutters and dry litter cleared by summer.
Fallen Branch & Storm Clean-Up Rosanna
A gum has dropped a limb across the driveway, or a windy night has left the yard covered. Ross collects what's come down and hauls it away. Standing trees and hung-up limbs are an arborist's job — once they've dropped it, Ross can take it away.
What green waste removal in Rosanna actually involves
Rosanna is a settled, leafy suburb with a station on the Hurstbridge line and a strong sense of being established. Housing runs from interwar bungalows through to post-war brick and a scattering of newer builds, mostly on generous blocks. The gardens have had decades to fill out, and many streets are lined with large trees.
Mature trees and long-established gardens mean a lot of green waste, especially at certain times of year. Deciduous trees drop leaves by the barrow-load in autumn, hedges grow thick and tall, and wind brings down branches. Ross collects it all in one visit and takes it for green waste disposal.
Loaded by hand, strapped down, and off to the green waste facility.
Autumn in Rosanna
When the leaves come down in Rosanna, they really come down. Gutters fill, paths get slippery and garden beds disappear under a layer of brown. Raking it all up is one job; getting rid of it is another, because a bin will take only a fraction of it.
Ross takes leaves bagged, in heaps or piled on a tarp. It all goes into the trailer together with any prunings or branches, and the area is swept before he leaves.

Hedges and long-held gardens
A lot of Rosanna homes have been in the same family for a long time, and the gardens show it. Hedges have thickened, shrubs have grown into trees, and there may be an old pile of cuttings behind the garage that has been waiting for years.
Whether you're selling, downsizing or just getting on top of things, a garden clean-up clears the waste in a day. Ross can work alongside a gardener or come in after them to take away the waste.
Getting the waste out
Some Rosanna properties have long driveways right to the back yard. Others have a garage built to the boundary, a narrow side path, or a garden that slopes away from the street.
Ross carries it out by hand when needed. It affects how long the job takes, so sending a photo of the route out to the street with your enquiry means the quote is right from the start.

Book in May, not July
The leaf drop runs from late April through June, and it's when most Rosanna households decide they need a hand. Booking early in the season, rather than waiting until the bags have been piled up for months, makes it much easier to get a date.
Suburb, roughly how much there is, and what the access is like. A photo saves a lot of back and forth.

The bloke doing it
Owner-operated, and it stays that way
Ross runs this on his own. He quotes the job, he turns up, he loads the trailer and he
takes it away — the same bloke every visit. There is no office in between, no skip
company, and no franchise cut coming out of what you pay.
It also means he will tell you when something isn't his job — a standing tree that
needs an arborist, or a pile that is more rubbish than garden — rather than taking the
money and leaving you with half a problem.
Yes. Rosanna is on the regular route, along with Macleod, Viewbank, Eaglemont and Ivanhoe. Send the address and a photo to get a price.
On the volume and how easy it is to load. Leaves are bulky but light; heavy branches take more lifting. A photo showing the pile and the access usually gives Ross enough to quote.
Yes. Plenty of people book a green waste collection once the leaves have finished falling, and again after the spring prune. Just get in touch when you are ready.
No. Ross does not climb trees. Large trees need an arborist, and many trees in Banyule are protected, so check with the council first. Ross can take away whatever the arborist cuts.
No. Household rubbish, old furniture, building materials, rubble, soil, treated timber and anything that could contain asbestos are all excluded. It is a green waste service, not a rubbish removal service.

Thanks — that's gone through to Ross. Spring is his busiest time, so if it's close to fire season he may take a day or two.
